Youngblood Creme Blush and Highlighter – Champagne Life

Veganlicious Brand Status: Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics is a largely vegan brand. (All products mentioned here are vegan.) Every product page on their website lists complete ingredient information for easy shopping. (Non-vegan products include mascara and some lip colors.)

This Creme Blush from Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics is definitely a tool for the pros, and a veganlicious one at that! Once I got the hang of it, I felt like a bonafide makeup artist, adding subtle but powerful beauty to my routine. You will too.

So how exactly does crème blush work, you ask? Good question. You take a tiny bit of this luxurious product and blend it into your face with your fingers. Simple as that. I’ve struggled with cream blushes before, but this one from Youngblood blends EXTREMELY easily. I didn’t have any trouble with it at all.

The shade I used, Champagne Life, really acts as more of a highlighter – perfect for strobing. I like to pat a small amount of it outside of my eyes (next to my eyes and back towards my hairline.) It catches the light in a soft, romantic way. Depending how much you use, this look can be very subtle and intriguing or more glamorous and party-like. You choose! You can also rub it anywhere else you’d wear highlighter – for example, on the top of your forehead, the bridge of your nose, or the point of your chin. (You can see it it on my skin in the picture below.)

The crème blush product comes in seven shades total, and at least five are colored like blush. Those would be really easy to blend into your everyday cheek color. I particularly like the look of the shade “Taffeta,” in all its adorable pinkness.

This was my first encounter with Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics and I’m definitely looking forward to trying more of their products. Youngblood makes their products with luxury minerals, giving great coverage without many of the irritants found in common cosmetics. (Specifically, they are free of parabens, talc, oil, fragrance, and anything artificial.) A large percentage of their products are vegan, and all products have their ingredients listed on the website. You can connect with them on Facebook or Twitter to ask questions about any specific products.
