Yoga Retreat this Weekend!

Hotel del Coronado

I’m SUPER stoked because I was invited to attend the Be Well at the Del yoga retreat at Hotel del Coronado this weekend! I have always wanted to visit the historic Hotel del Coronado on the beaches of San Diego. The Victorian hotel is located on 28 acres of beachfront property!

The Del’s visionary founders – Elisha Babcock and H.L. Story – dreamed of building a seaside resort that would be “the talk of the Western world.” Since then, the resort has become a living legend, visited by celebrities, dignitaries and U.S. presidents.

In 1958, The Del was the backdrop for the comedy classic “Some Like It Hot,” starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. The resort has also seen a steady stream of celebrity visitors – from Charlie Chaplin and Humphrey Bogart to Brad Pitt and Madonna.

Hotel del Coronado

Plus, it’s supposedly haunted by the ghost of Kate Morgan. She checked into the resort on November 24, 1892, and never checked out. Reports of ghostly happenings, all thought to be connected to the death of this beautiful young woman, have been circulating at The Del ever since.

Hotel del Coronado Spa

The Be Well at the Del yoga retreat package includes: two nights’ accommodation, two  yoga classes tailored to all skill levels (led by acclaimed yoga instructor Luciana LoPresto), an ocean-inspired spa treatment, special fitness instruction and spa cuisine over the course of the weekend. They have no trouble accommodating various diets (veg, vegan, etc.). Everything looks amazing. I’ll take pics and let you know how it goes!

You can connect with Hotel del Coronado on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook.

Yoga is one kind of exercise which is widely recognized by the health experts. Because yoga moves are free hand and very effective than other exercise. I would love be there at that hotel if possible. Thanks for sharing.

Soothing music plays softly in the background as your massage therapist begins to work away the stress of your busy day-to-day responsibilities, in a relaxing quiet atmosphere… Thanks for sharing this post. 🙂
