Weekend Date at The Grove Los Angeles

in Fashion, Lifestyle on 11/01/17

Sponsored PR Sample

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Ben Bridge Jeweler for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Laduree Los Angeles

Last weekend, my fiancé and I decided to spend the day at The Grove near our home in Los Angeles. We went to Laduree, a Parisian bakery and tea room, for an afternoon snack. Their macarons and tea are amazing, but this time we decided to try the ratatouille appetizer, green salad, and two of their beautiful and Instagram-friendly mocktails. I ordered the Romantique, which was a fruity tea blend garnished with raspberries and a single rose petal. Tres chic!

Date at Laduree at the Grove Los Angeles

I wore one of my favorite dresses, brought along my new vintage-inspired vegan handbag, and added a romantic and classy touch with my Ben Bridge Jeweler Pear Shaped Diamond Pendant. There is something about this necklace that makes me feel like a boss! When I was younger, this is the type of jewelry I had hoped to be able to wear someday. The tear drop shaped pear cut, ethically-sourced diamond is accentuated by a double-halo of round diamonds. It’s set in 14K white gold and includes a very light 18″ chain. It’s a beautiful piece that can easily be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion.

Ben Bridge Pear Shaped Diamond Pendant

I really appreciate that Ben Bridge only purchases exceptional metals and gemstones, ethically sourced from their countries of origin. I feel good about wearing jewelry from Ben Bridge, and I know the pieces will last because they only buy from artisans who are known for their high levels of craftsmanship.

Laduree Mocktails at the Grove Los Angeles

After our snack, Gregg and I walked around The Grove and window shopped for a bit. While I was posing for a photo, a giant Praying Mantis jumped onto my head. I felt something but thought it was a leaf, so I didn’t realize I was walking around with a neon green bug on my head until we got to Crate and Barrel. I felt it move, and realized I had been walking around for about five minutes with it on my head! People must have thought I was wearing a really interesting hair decoration! Honestly you just have to just laugh at yourself sometimes!

Cookie Gate 2017 at the Farmers Market Los Angeles

Then we hit up the Farmer’s Market next door. I bought a cookie the size of my head (so much for that healthy salad earlier!). We did a little people watching while we got some pumpkin spice coffee drinks (well mine was a chai latte with almond milk because I’m a tea girl all the way). And then the piece de resistance was that I got to meet a goat! The Sanctuary at Soledad is a vegan farmed animal rescue who was doing a pop up fundraiser at the Farmer’s Market. I said hello to the goat, gave a donation, and checked out their coconut milk soaps and coconut wax candles.

At the end of the day, I love that I can have a fancy Parisian lunch, have a bug use me as an Uber, chow down on a giant cookie, make friends with a goat, and still feel like a stylish #bossbabe in my ’50s-inspired outfit and Ben Bridge diamond necklace. You can seriously wear Ben Bridge Jeweler pieces ANYWHERE. It’s all about attitude!

What a fun day! We haven’t been to the Grove in about 10 years, I think, and Laduree wasn’t there then. I adore your diamond pendant – stunning! Your story about the praying mantis was a riot

Ha! That mantis helped make a new memory! It sounds like a lovely outing! And the necklace is gorgeous! Ethically sourced jewelry? I guess Ben Bridge is the first one I’ve heard of, thanks for sharing!
