Thursday’s with Cheeky Rox: Urban Decay Fall 2016 Collection Moondust Eyeshadow Palette

Cruelty free makeup brand, Urban Decay recently released their Fall 2016 Collection. The new collection includes lots of cruelty free goodies, but today we’ll be focusing on the brand new Moondust Eyeshadow Palette. When I first saw this palette, I could not contain my excitement! It’s basically any glitter-lovers dream come true! The Moondust Palette contains eight gorgeous shadows with Urban Decay’s signature Moondust formula. The Moondust Formula was previously only available in single shadow forms. They really went all-out with this palette – the eight shades are brand new and exclusive to the Fall 2016 collection.

Urban Decay Moondust Palette Swatches ReviewThe shades in the Urban Decay Moondust Palette range from classic silver to bright green. I think they did an amazing job with the shade selection of the palette. Now I have a perfect glittery-accent color for any makeup look. Whether I’m looking for a baby pink glitter shade or a bright blue – it’s all right there in my Moondust Palette!

If you’ve ever tried one of the Urban Decay Moondust eyeshadows, you know the pigmentation is unreal. With each and every shade in the palette, I get so much color payoff and tons of sparkle. It’s out-of-this-world 😉 You can use the shades wet or dry depending on what type of look you’re trying to achieve. When I used the shadows dry, I was able to diffuse the shades and achieve more of a smoky-glitter effect. When the shadows are wet – there’s very little fallout and the glitter is totally opaque. I love having the option of using the shadows wet or dry because I can tailor each shade to fit the makeup look I’m going for!

Moondust-Eyeshadow-Palette-TutorialI created this smoky halo glitter eye tutorial using the Urban Decay Moondust Palette. You can watch the tutorial on My Beauty Bunny’s YouTube Channel or at the end of this post! The eyeshadow look I created is super easy to achieve and I wanted to show how the Moondust shadows can be easily incorporated into any makeup look!

Overall I love the Urban Decay Moondust Palette. I think it’s definitely an essential for all of the glitter-lovers out there!

I’m still waffling on this palette. A part of me wants it just because it’s so sparkly and pretty but would I really use it?

While absolutely gorgeous, it’s a little too sparkly for me. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love looking at it. Love the eye look you created – gorgeous!

Your eye look is stunning. This palette has a certain audience and seems perfect for you. This takes me back to the early days of UD but with a better formula.

I want this palette so bad! I really love the sparkle it has without the discoball feel

When I saw photos of this palette, I wasn’t too excited. But your swatches have BLOWN ME AWAY! Every shade will go well with my skintone – nothing too pale.

That eye look you did is absolutely stunning! I didn’t grab this palette because its a bit too bright for me, BUT I sort of want it for the neutrals alone lol. Gorgeous!!

I love the look of this palette. I don’t wear glitter or shimmer that much anymore, but the shades are so pretty!

This palette really is gorgeous but I don’t do glitter on these old eyes.
