With Mother’s Day just around the corner, right about now is when many of us are scrambling to find the perfect gift for the one person who always gives us unconditional love. What better way to treat mom with a gift that keeps on giving for months to come, with a bath and body skincare set from SheaMoisture.  SheaMoisture is cruelty free, and made with natural and organic ingredients whenever possible to give us the very best in skincare. The SheaMoisture line started almost a century ago gaining respect through the years ultimately resulting in recipes passed down from generation to generation to the expansive selection we see today.

The latest collection added to the family is the Peace Rose Oil Complex Collection formulated for dry and sensitive skin types. This rose-scented line delicately nourishes the hair and skin with its unique blend of organic shea butter, Alpine, Damask and Musk Rose Oils and Extracts the soften, smooth all over. The entire line is armed with natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatory powers. The Peace Rose Oil Complex Collection calms even the most sensitive skin types. And with the wide selection of hair products, bath products and facial skincare products, you are sure to find a combination of things that mom will love. And, to help you choose I sampled most of the collection to give you an idea of what may work for you or your mom!

SheaMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Shampoo & Conditioner

This duo truly smells like a bouquet of fresh roses and says it made for dry, brittle or even color treated hair types. I have normal hair and found this to cleanse and condition well without leaving any heaviness behind. Both are sulfate, paraben and phthalate free and nourish the hair and scalp for beautiful, shiny hair.

SheaMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Sensitive Skin Cream Body Wash & Lotion

The ultra creamy body wash and lotion are true treats for sensitive skin types. The formulas are thick and made to deeply moisturize the skin while leaving behind the beautiful scent of roses. I made sure to slather on the lotion right out of the shower while my skin was still slightly damp to get the best results. I love scented bath and body products so these were wonderful to use all together in one sitting.

SheaMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Sensitive Skin Liquid Hand Soap

Perfect for leaving near the kitchen sink or guest bath treating your guests to nourishing extracts and butters that will leave hands feeling soft and clean. The easy pump bottle looks great in either location and has an ample amount to last you quite some time.

SheaMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Sensitive Skin Facial Cleansing Oil, Facial Moisturizer & Mud Mask

Contrary to what many think, oil cleanser works for many skin types. It works wonders by removing dirt, oil and makeup without stripping it of much needed moisture. I was unable to detect a rose scent in the cleanser but did appreciate the toned down scent in the moisturizer. I love scent in my hair and body products, but not so much in facial products. The moisturizer is definitely on the thicker side. It does absorb well into the skin without leaving any greasiness behind. My skin is normal but leans toward oily so I may use this a bit sparingly and use more on my hands than anything else. I used the mud mask while taking a long shower so my skin would really allow the mask to purify and soften while taking care of other things. Out of all the face products the mask was my favorite!

SheMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Nourish & Silken Hold Mist & Nourish & Silken Styling Gel Cream

I don’t use many hair styling products these days as I just had a baby myself but did try out the hold mist out on my mom bun and ponytail styles. This isn’t an extreme hold spray, but worked well as a finishing spray to hold down wispies and boost shine. I’m not familiar with using styling creams but the direction says to apply to wet hair from roots to tips and blow dry out for light hold of curls and tame frizzy hair. My hair tends to fall a little flat so no waves to define, but it did help keep frizzies away after a blow drying session.
