The Lipstick League – BEST Eye Makeup Remover

in Makeup, Misc, Vegan on 06/07/15

best cruelty free makeup removers
Question of the Week:
What’s your favorite eye makeup remover that gets EVERYTHING off without stinging or clouding your vision?

I love micellar makeup removers. There’s a great article here on micelles and what they are (basically tiny molecules), and why they are good at removing makeup. They are very gentle and great for sensitive skin but they get the toughest makeup off – even waterproof! One good one is Embroyolisse Micellar Cleansing Makeup Remover. It’s cruelty free, but does contain lactic acid, so it MIGHT be vegan, but I haven’t asked the company, so I don’t know for sure. There’s a great review by Phyrra on the web.

I also like DermOrganic Calming Facial Toner (their lactic acid is vegan and it’s completely cruelty free of course) but it’s not so great at taking off waterproof makeup. I usually use it after I use my makeup remover to tone my skin and remove any excess dirt and oil. It’s oil free, paraben free and fragrance free.

Reviewing beauty products isn’t always rainbows and unicorns. This week Beauty Bloggers Get Real and discuss their faves and fails, and the hits and misses this season.

Please remember that not all Lipstick League posts are cruelty free.
