The Body Shop Smoky Poppy Collection Review

Back in my high school days I remember making trips to the mall with my best friends and we always hit up The Body Shop. Specifically, we’d go to sniff all the body butters, perfume oils, or pick up a new lip scrub. Armed with our typical $20 bucks my parents gave me to spend, we would test every product in the store, but always end up buying a new butter or scrub. We just couldn’t resist!  Fast forward 15 plus years later and I am still a fan of The Body Shop. And while I am still a huge fan of juicy scents like mango or beautiful scents like coconut, I came across the Smoky Poppy Collection and found a new favorite.

The Smoky Poppy Collection consists of not only body care products but cosmetics which My Beauty Bunny previously reviewed here. Gorgeous, fun colors to play with and sensual scents to bask in.

I’ve never owned massage oil before but was more than willing to give it a whirl.  The Body Shop Smoky Poppy Massage Oil was a perfect place to start.  The bottle dispenses the perfect amount of oil so you don’t go overboard and I focused it on my feet, knees and elbows, the driest places that need a little extra help.  The oil sunk in quickly and left parched skin moisturized and smelling great.  I used this right after stepping out of the shower to lock in moisture and before using the body butter. Made with flower extracts and a variety of oils, I was pleased to see that I could rely on this solely by itself…but why do that when you have a brand new tub of body butter calling my name?

The Body Shop Smoky Poppy Body Butter is truly a body quenching treat.  Made with fair-trade shea butter and cocoa butter that immediately sinks into the skin leaving skin silky soft. There truly is nothing like taking a big scoop of this butter and getting to slather it over freshly shaven legs and feel them deeply moisturized and delectably scented.  I made sure to use this butter right after treating specific areas with the massage oil for the best results, but have been known to massage in some extra throughout the day because I love it so much.

This duo leaves the most beautiful scent of poppy flowers and leaves you with an alluring fragrance that doesn’t need to be topped with a fragrance spray at all. But on days where you ARE out and need a little spritz of fragrance there is also a Eau de Toilette Fragrance to keep handy. Seductive and enticing as was expected, my husband couldn’t help but notice I was wearing something different than usual and loved the way my legs felt after using this set. I keep the fragrance in my tote bag for fragrance touch ups as needed.
