Sweetsation Therapy

in Body, Dry Skin on 08/14/09

I recently tried some “mommy products” even though I’m not a mom and not expecting to be a mom anytime soon.  I tried Sweetsation Therapy’s Organic Sunbrella Triple Action Moisturizer with SPF 30 and Antioxidants and Organic Elastibelly Stretch Mark Miracle Caviar.

The Sunbrella face cream has a lot of great ingredients such as shea butter, argan oil, caviar extract (not vegan), aloe, spirulina, green tea, etc.  A treasure trove of antioxidants and good stuff for your face.  The SPF 30 might be a bonus for most people, but it was a bit too greasy for my combination/oily skin and SPF of any kind seems to make me break out and makes my lip swell up (I know – it’s weird).  The SPF blocks 90% of UVA/UVB rays which is necessary to prevent wrinkles.  I have been told by the manufacturer that most people don’t find this product greasy at all, so it could just be me.  That being said, if you have very dry, mature or non-sensitive skin, this would definitely be a great moisturizer to check out.  It’s also water-resistant – so great for summer outdoor activities.  It also has kojic acid to lighten discolorations and existing sun damage.

The Elastibelly has another treasure trove of good stuff for your skin including Kukui Nut oil, pumpkin seed oil, grapefruit seed extract (kills germs), grape seed oil (great antioxidant), coconut oil, shea butter, tamanu oil, etc.  If there is any ingredient that will help stretch marks, it will be in this cream! I would recommend this for pregnant women, but it must be noted that this is preventative – nothing short of lasers can remove stretch marks after they have formed.  This would also make a cute gift for a baby shower.
