What is your must-have makeup product? The quintessential desert island item that immediately makes you feel pulled together? My favorite feature is my eyes, and eyeliner is the key to making them pop. One problem. While I love to play up my eyes with all kinds of shimmery shadows and bold liner, I usually find that by the end of the night my liner is everywhere except where I put it. Smudged onto my top lid, racooning it below my lower lashes, giving me that ‘morning-after’ look by only 11:30 p.m.
And then I found my favorite new gel eyeliner from Youngblood. The other gel eyeliners I’ve tried generally start out okay, but after a few weeks they dry out and become difficult to apply. Here’s what I LOVE about Youngblood’s Incredible Wear Gel eyeliner:
Sienna
Consistency: Has a soft, ‘springy’ texture that adheres well to the brush and glides on smoothly. My lashline isn’t perfectly straight (I have weird extra lashes) but this product fills in the spaces between my lashes, giving me a perfect line in one swoop. One day I applied too much liner and just decided to blend upward into my shadow. Looked gorgeous. I love a multi-use product.
Long-Lasting: Another pleasant surprise to the Youngblood gel eyeliner is that the great consistency lasts from the first use to the 20th. No caking or drying out in the pot, yet still long-wearing and water-resistant. I don’t know what their secret formula is, but I think there is magic involved.
Color: I tried Sienna, a metallic bronze. The color is rich, shimmery, and covers evenly. The fade factor was minimal; it pretty much looked as good at 10 p.m. as it did at 7 a.m.
