Spadaro Cruelty Free Perfumes

Have you been introduced to Spadaro fragrances yet? Visionary, alchemist and fragrance designer Kim Spadaro combined her strong passion for design, aromatherapy, travel and music to formulate a range of scents that are deeply personal yet inspirational to others. Each fragrance is inspired by a different destination and brings to life a moment in time experienced during Kim’s journeys.

Each of Kim’s fragrances comes in an eau de parfum or candle. You can read about each scent and its inspiration on the Spadaro website.

I tried Noche del Fuego, meaning “Night of Fire,” It’s a sexy, warm, wood-buring fire type of scent. Very unique and very sensual. It’s described as, “a hypnotizing scent inspired by ancient terraced landscapes and an encounter with Spanish fire dancers during an idyllic escape to Majorca.”

The Journey

Noche del Fuego was created following Kim’s journey to a thirteenth century palace tucked away in an ancient Mediterranean hillside of Majorca. An enthralling evening ensued as bronze-bodied Spanish fire dancers moved to the beat of their drums and encircled Kim in their fire. Spellbound, she immersed herself in their rapture, knowing she must one day capture those heated moments in time in a bottle.

The Scent

Bergamot gains unexpected depth when mixed with patchouli and an exotic blend of sandalwood, vanilla and honey spiked with paprika and saffron and the warm/cool exhilarating rush of black pepper. I get an immediate sense of a warm, wood-burning fire, and after the top notes cool off a bit, I get a sweeter, but still spicy and sexy scent. I am picky when it comes to fragrance, and this is a winner!

I also tried a sample of Doux Amour, meaning “Sweet Love,” “Doux Amour was developed while on a journey to Morocco. A perfume poem, sweet and gentle, yet sensual… redolent of warm Moroccan nights.” It’s a sexy blend of floral essences – ylang ylang, Casablanca lily and Moroccan jasmine – wrapped in a sultry, sueded accord of patchouli, rare amber sandalwood, and laced with a sheer veil of vanilla. This one is nice, but I think after doing lots and lots of sniff tests, that Noche del Fuego is my fave!

If you’re more of a citrus fan, try Solé Nero. Sunny Italian Grapefruit is imbued with a precious spice accord of White Pepper and Cumin. “Enveloped by tender Musk and comforting notes of Sandalwood, Almond and Vanilla, Solé Nero evokes fond memories of loved ones near and far.” This one is not for me, but I have some friends who would probably pick this as their number one!

A scent I haven’t tried is Beso Del Mar, meaning “Kiss of the Sea” is a fresh, clean light scent inspired by sunsets in Cabo San Lucas at the Las Ventantas. Lime, agave, driftwood, musk and hibiscus. “The refreshing notes of the cooling ocean breeze kissed by fresh squeezed lime, agave nectar and veiled with a subtle hint of musk to set anchor. Drift away in the sunset of the Sea of Cortez.”

Which one do you think you would be taken with? Are you into spicy, warm scents, or floral scents? What about citrus or ocean scents?
