Cruelty-Free, Vegan Nail Polish

I’m definitely someone who enjoys doing their nails and have a pretty large collection to choose from in my Ikea Helmer.  Over the years I’ve been happy to see that more and more brands are coming out with healthier, high-quality options to keep nails looking stylish and while staying cruelty-free. Sheer Lust is a new Los Angeles based brand on the market with their 5-free, cruelty-free, and vegan line of nail polishes.  I was sent their Spring/Summer 2015 Exotic Collection to test and swatch for you guys. I think you’ll all be as pleased as me!

The Spring/Summer 2015 Exotic collection is a set of six colors that are vivid and bright bringing a little fun to your finger tips.  The set arrived in a luxe, metallic gift box which make it feel like a gift has arrived on your doorstep. Each color was super glossy and applied like a breeze with it’s perfectly sized-brush.  Not too large to make goopy mistakes, and not too small making you do extra strokes. The bottle is square along with the chrome handle making it easy to grip and beautiful to display on your vanity.  I found that most colors probably only needed one coat, but I usually do two out of habit.

Caribbean Chic – Opaque teal or turquoise. Such a beautiful color. Always makes me think of warm ocean waters and wanting to be on a tropical isle.

Neon Rebellion – Bright, neon (non-fluorescent) green.  This color is the only one out of the entire collection that definitely needs two coats to be opaque. It’s a super fun green to accent a summer outfit.

Bubble Blue – Soft, sky blue with a slight iridescent shimmer. My camera would not cooperate to capture the beautiful shimmer in this blue but it is a beauty!

Rose Petal – Opaque, pink-red.  This color applied so gorgeously on the nail that I was sad I still had a few more colors to swatch afterwards! THIS is my summer color and one of my favorites out of the entire collection.

Orange Splash – bright, tangerine orange.  This juicy color is another one that applied like a dream. Just looking at the color in the bottle makes my mouth water.

Lavender Stroke – Opaque, grape purple.  This color reminds me of one of those scented magic markers from your childhood.  I usually reserve darker colors like this for my toes!
