SheaMoisture for Smoother Skin
There are few brands that hit the mark perfectly so often, but SheaMoisture has done a phenomenal job of wowing me again and again. This cruelty-free, sulfate-free, and paraben-free brand uses organic ingredients whenever possible, producing cosmetics and bath and body products that can be used by the entire family. I’ve already reviewed some of their cosmetics, as well as some of their baby lines, but today I bring you SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex bath and body products.
The Superfruit complex line can be divided into two groups, those for skincare and those for the rest of the body. I’ll be reviewing the skincare items soon so stay tuned for those! Red Raspberry, Goji, Acai, and Guava extracts work together to firm and smooth the skin, improve elasticity, creating a more youthful appearance. Part of the formula includes Green Coffee Bean extract which is thought to help nourish and smooth dimpled skin, while Mango and Shea butter deeply moisturize. So my new, tired mommy body was looking forward to this SheaMoisture treat. Anything that’s going to help me look younger, smoother and less dimpled, I’m all for it.
While the bath and body line includes a bubble bath, and a 2-in-1 bubble bath and body wash, today I get to share with you my experience with their bar soap, hand & body scrub, body wash, and body lotion. I usually stick to body washes so I opted to test that out before the bar and I was not disappointed. The Superfruit Complex Body Wash created a great lather with a shower poof and has a unisex scent that appeals to everyone (I think). The Superfruit Complex bar soap is on the larger size, and can be rubbed into your shower poof to get a good lather going. I don’t have a real soap dish for the bar but I ended up getting one so I could keep this in my shower and rotate between the wash and bar. P.S It has exfoliating bits in it, but I use my shower poof for that…and the suds are pink! Eeep!! I love it! So just make sure you rinse all the soap off the tub basin so there’s no pink left behind.
After soaping up and shaving, I’d follow with Superfruit Complex Hand & Body Scrub. If you like a scrub with some good grit to it, this scrub is for you. You need so little to do such an amazing job of polishing legs and elbows for super soft skin. I mainly focused on my legs because it felt so good to give them a good sugar scrub massage in the shower after my workouts and would work some onto my hands to help prep for quick mani sessions. I love this scrub and plan to purchase after it’s used up. It has the same scent as the rest of the Superfruit Complex line and I like a good strong scrub for the body.
Lastly, the Superfruit Body Lotion is what I consider a holy grail body moisturizer product. In fact, my husband was such a fan of this I had to get him his own bottle because we both use it daily. He gets extremely dry skin and won’t use lotions that have a “girly” scent, and I love how this lotion deeply moisturized my legs and make them look fabulous. It also works great as an after sun lotion too! If there is any product from the Superfruit Complex line that you MUST try, go for this lotion first and then branch out–it will not disappoint. It’s thick and rich and does wonders for my skin!
I can’t say this line necessarily helped with any dimpling, but it sure did make my skin look great in every other way possible– healthy, soft and moisturized. That’s a pretty good deal if you ask me.
