These days I’m not much of a classic lipstick type of girl – I tend to either wear liquid lippies or lip gloss. But as soon as I saw the stunning packaging of this NARS Audacious Lipstick, I was eager to try it out. The color is called Rita and it is a true, classic red. Everything about this lipstick screams perfect holiday lip! From the formula itself, to the pretty metal tube, to the little box it comes in – everything is the exact same shade of classy red. The presentation is just impeccable and so thoughtfully designed.
The formula is as amazing as the packaging design. It glides on like satin and covers your lips in rich, opaque color with just one swipe. It is very comfortable on the lips and I found that it did not bleed, even without lip liner. While it is not non-transferrable like the matte liquid lipsticks I typically reach for, it does wear very nicely and evenly throughout the day.
I think that Rita would be a flattering shade on many skin tones since it is such a middle-of-the-road red. It is not too blue or too orange. If you are still looking for stocking stuffers for any beauty lovers on your holiday shopping list, this universally-flattering and beautifully-packaged lippie would be a excellent choice!
