Glowing Skin from a BB Cream
I have always been a fan of Pacifica Beauty products. They always looked gorgeous in the brightly lit displays of my favorite store, Target. Each product from Pacifica is vegan and cruelty free for all you animal and beauty lovers out there — and does not skimp out on quality in their efforts to save our animal friends. I purchased an eye palette a few years back that I’ve been stretching the use out of it, and have their lip tints scattered all over the bottom of my purse and gym bags. Needless to say, I constantly think to myself, I need MORE! Luckily, Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream landed in my bag of review items and I made sure it was the first item to test out.
I love finding multi-tasking products that make my beauty routine quicker for daytime looks.This BB Cream acts as an illuminating primer, while containing age-defying skincare and light face makeup all in one. Ingredients like jojoba esters prevent skin dehydration and balance oil production since it mimics our skin’s own sebum. Coconut water contains cytokinins that slow down the aging process. Kelp extract is rich in skin-loving minerals that improve circulation while antioxidants fight free radical damage. And last but certainly not least, Sweet Iris Leaf Cell Extract stimulates cellular repair while Damascus Rose Leaf Extract strengthens the skin. Does your current makeup have all that skin perfecting power? If not, you’ve got to try this out!
I use about a large pea-sized drop for my entire face and blend down my neck as far as possible. I then let that set for a minute or two before adding any blush or bronzer on top. I also try to put this on within minutes of stepping out of the shower and drying off so moisture is locked in right away. Even two hours later (as I type this review) my skin will feel moisturized and not greasy on my combo skin.
As with many BB creams, Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream has a very light finish. I would definitely say this is closer to a tinted moisturizer than a makeup product to cover discoloration. For that, I rely on CC Creams that have more coverage. Lately, I have been blessed with clear skin and felt brave enough to skip the fuller coverage foundations and go with this BB cream instead. The BB cream comes in one color only but uses mineral pigments that adjusts to most skin colors. The tube does say it is buildable but I didn’t even bother because one layer felt sufficient to make my skin look fresh, dewy and healthy looking. I have some acne scarring that will always show through a bit, but super happy with the results. The high point of my face like my forehead and cheek bones have a bit more brightness to them while the sheer color gives me just enough color to step outside of the house and go about my day.
I’m very pleased with the results of Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream and glad that it can be found at an affordable price for most. A little will go a long way and it truly does make my skin look like a better version of itself. P.S In the photo above I am wearing the BB Cream and their lip tint in Sugared Fig.
