Organic Control Systems Hair Care

organic control systems

Looking for cruelty free hair products that hold without the crunch? I found ’em. You might remember my review of Organic Color Systems hair color at Primrose Salon in Los Angeles. The same brand has come out with Organic Control Systems – a line that includes gels, mousses, glosses, cremes and hairsprays. The products are PETA-certified and some are vegan (the wax and hairspray include beeswax).

Organic Control Systems features:

• No Plastics or Brittle Unnatural Holds
• Active Certified Organic Ingredients
• Long Lasting Flexible Natural Hold
• Anti-Frizz and Naturally Smoothing
• Lustrous Shine without Plastic Coating
• Delivering Nutrients and Anti-Oxidants to the Hair

I don’t use control products all that often, but I tried these out and I was impressed – hold without the crunch, and ingredients that are good for your hair. You can use the mousse for a soft hold. The gel, glaze and creme have medium holds. The Spray Gel has med/firm hold, and the hairspray has maximum hold.

spray gloss

I DO use glossing products quite frequently, and I really liked the Organic Spray Gloss (my fave). The lightweight spray gloss includes calendula oil for great shine and green tea extract as an antioxidant. It goes on light without weighing your hair down. For even more gloss (to use as a blow dry oil or for very frizzy hair), you can try the Organic Gloss Serum. Both products have zero hold – just lots of glossy goodness. You can use both products on wet or dry hair. Just focus more on the ends, which tend to be drier.
