nubian heritage mango butter review by my beauty bunnyNourish Your Skin With Mango Butter

I think I’m going to nominate myself as the resident bath and body aficionado here at My Beauty Bunny. I love trying out all body washes, scrubs and lotions because the shower is my most favorite place, so why not make it even better with heavenly scented bath products that leave my skin feeling great! Recently, I was sent the Nubian Heritage Coconut and Papaya line and fell in love with everything, but what I didn’t tell you guys was that I also got a couple things from their Mango butter line and I’m about to show it some love.

Mango butter has a long history of use for deeply moisturizing and soothing the skin while absorbing quickly and has a non-greasy feel. It’s also a good source of vitamin E, C and A to nourish and improve the skin for a more youthful appearance. It’s a wonderful base ingredient to include in skincare products and I’ve been a long time user of it on it’s own prior to using the Nubian Heritage line.

nubian heritage mango butter review by my beauty bunnyI was sent the Mango butter bath and body scrub as well as the body lotion. To be honest, I can’t really remember what an actual mango smells like since I don’t eat them, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this collection has a super aromatic scent that reminds me of orange creamsicles. ORANGE CREAMSICLES, you guys! Can we say delicious? Talk about a line that you’ll want to douse yourself in!

My only regret was not asking for the accompanying body wash to go along with the scrub. The scrub was sugar based which I prefer over salt because that’s a serious ouch if you have any cuts. Sugar scrubs like this one, effectively polish the skin without leaving the skin overly oily. Some scrubs have too much oil, and some are too dry and don’t stick to the skin long enough. This one was perfect. It also moisturized well with of course, Mango butter being the main star, but also used olive oil, jojoba oil (another favorite of mine), shea butter and cocoa butter. If you’re on the hunt for a good scrub, this one is a no brainer. It’s affordable at under $13 for a large tub, smells amazing, and has just the right amount of grit to it for a job well done.

nubian heritage mango butter review by my beauty bunnyI always follow a shower with some good lotion, and the Mango Butter Body Lotion was just as fantastic as the scrub. It smells SO good! I loved using it all over, and may have used a little extra on my legs because why not. What I love even more is that it doesn’t leave me greasy which is kinda of important for a mommy reason. I rock my daughter to sleep at bedtime and if I have greasy lotion on my arms it leaves her hair greasy and her face may get a pimple or two if I use something that leaves behind too much oil. THIS DOES NOT. In fact, I even used this lotion on my toddler when I couldn’t find her usual lotion (she loves to move items all over the house – hello, hairbrush in the pantry and frying pan in the toy chest). While I normally wouldn’t use something with this much fragrance on her it was absolutely fine and worked great for that baby skin.

You can grab a bottle of this for under $13 also, so while you’re getting the scrub, you might as well get the lotion!
The Mango Butter Collection also includes bar soap, bath oil, body wash and hand cream all at an affordable price. You can find the collection at Whole Foods, Vitamin Shoppe, and ULTA. I may need to swing by the local Whole Foods to grab that body wash! Which item from the collection would you most likely use?
