Urban Outfitters Exclusive Lip Tar from OCC!
It’s been awhile since I’ve reviewed anything from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, but I recently saw co-owner, David, and gang at The Makeup Show, and I remembered how much I love this brand. Not only are the colors and formulas amazing, David is committed to making sure all of his products are cruelty free AND vegan.
The old squeeze tube packaging is being phased out in favor of tubes with doe foot applicators. A little bit still goes a long way with Lip Tar, and the new packaging makes it easier to apply. You can apply it directly to your lips and then blot with a tissue OR dab on a small amount and spread with a lip brush (or fingertip).
I tried the newest colors (available exclusively at Urban Outfitters), and although I am not daring enough to wear some of them, I know some of you will be all over these fun colors! The more wearable shades for me (now officially in my late 30’s – hello 36!) are Shoegazer (bright red), Kelly (shimmery coral) and Poseur (lilac). Soy Latte would make a great nude for someone with darker skin – or perfect for those who want to follow the ’90s brown lipstick trend. Alt-Girl is a bright, shimmery purple and Whatever is a beautiful seafoam green that I would personally prefer to wear on my lids!
Like all Lip Tars, these are SUPER highly pigmented, non-drying (hemp oil and Vit E keep lips moist), vegan friendly, and healthy (gluten free, preservative free and silicone free).
Alt Girl is GORGEOUS!! I’m looking forward to trying the new tubes!
