NARS Limited Edition Lamour Toujours Lamour and Blush Palettes

Sad update – June 2017 – NARS is no longer cruelty free – the company has decided to sell in China, a country that requires animal testing. Click here for details.

One of my favorite brands, NARS, has a brand new collection of very wearable shades this Spring. Their highly pigmented, long-lasting, easy to apply shades never disappoint. The colors have very little fallout, and are easy to blend.

NARS is cruelty free and does not conduct animal testing (and is currently not sold in China), but their parent company (Sheseido) is not cruelty free. You can read our thoughts on this on the cruelty free brands page.

NARS Lamour Toujours Lamour Palette

This spring say hello to the new NARS L’Amour, Toujours L’Amour Palette. In French, this means “love, always love”. The limited-edition #NARSissist palette features 12 wearable eyeshadow shades from everyday neutrals to rich accents, with a mix of mattes and shimmers, for a full spectrum of looks. It comes in a gorgeous mirrored compact (mirrors on the outside and the inside).

The Tourjours Eyeshadow Palette includes:

I – Cream Bisque
II – Shimmering Pink Sand
III – Amethyst Ash
IV – Black Truffle
V – Golden Starlight
VI – Sunburst Copper
VII – Café Au Lait
VIII – Pistol Grey
IX – Industrial Steel
X – Regal Blue
XI – Shimmering Taupe Cashmere
XII – Shimmering Liquorice

There are some shades I would probably only use as a liner (Regal Blue for example), but most of the colors are neutrals and very wearable for a variety of skin tones. It has everything I need for a perfect smoky eye.

NARS Cheek Studio Palette

The Sephora exclusive #NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette delivers gorgeous cheek shades – from soft to seductive – in one palette. It includes one highlight and one contour shade (Paloma), one bronzer (Laguna) and 4 blush shades (including Goulue). I love this palette because it has everything I need at a glance – including lighter blush shades for everyday use, and more intense shades that work well for nights out on the town, or when I’m wearing self tanner and my skin is darker. The perfect travel palette!

NARS Cheek Studio Palette Swatches

The L’Amour Toujours L’Amour palette is available at NARSCosmetics.com and at NARS boutiques now for a limited time, and at Sephora and specialty stores on February 1st, 2016. The Cheek Studio Palette is available exclusively at Sephora on February 1st, 2016.

NARS Banned Red and Rosecliff Satin Lipstick

I’m loving the trio of soft, muted, cool-toned pinks in the NARS Spring 2016 collection. Kari Dual Intensity Eyeshadow is a bold, yet soft pink (it sometimes comes out a little more brown on my yellow-toned skin). See all of the Dual Intensity shades here. Impassioned is a gorgeous blush that is perfect for my light skin tone. And Rosecliff Satin Lipstick (pictured above) is the perfect mauve/rose shade.

You guys know I also love my reds, and Banned Red Satin Lipstick (LOVE the name!) is a muted brick red/mulled wine that I can wear on days when a super dark or super bright red just doesn’t feel right. These lipsticks are long-wearing, but not matte, which means they won’t dry out your lips!

Beautiful!! I would love to try NARS regular, satin lipsticks. I own several of their lip crayons, and the gorgeous red matte ones are sitting in my lippie box because they dry out my lips terribly. These look lovely.
