I was really excited when I heard about Booty Parlor (cute name!), a little shop that has sexy beauty products and um…adult accessories. I tried Flirty Little Secret which is a perfume oil with pheromones and Kissaholic, a plumping lip gloss – also with pheromones. The product reps assured me the pheromones are synthetic and cruelty-free/vegan.
Pheromones are chemicals that are released to send signals to members of the same species. The jury is still out on whether or not synthetic human sex pheromones actually help to attract a mate or help you succeed in business, but the placebo effect alone might be worth it!
The Flirty Little Secret perfume oil smells great. Very girly. Kind of like a Victoria’s Secret scent, but much more subtle, which I highly appreciate. I can’t even walk into a VS store without my eyes watering! The scent is created with plums, raspberries, jasmine, cedar and sandalwood. The base is jojoba oil, which lasts longer than a traditional alcohol-based formula. It comes in a cute little roll-on bottle that you can keep in your purse – to dab on when you see a hot guy at the end of the bar.
The Kissaholic lip gloss comes in 6 colors. It’s not sticky, which I appreciate. It’s a plumping lip gloss though, so it does sting a little when you first put it on. Don’t use on chapped lips! It comes with an applicator brush instead of a sponge, so you get more product on your lips. Chili fruit and ginger plump lips. Ingredients like muira puama, damiana, passionflower, ginkgo biloba and phenylethylamine are supposed aphrodisiacs, added to help get the mojo flowing. I tried Swoon, which has a nice, light purple color and a grape flavor.
I tested these with some cute boys, and the outcome was that they loved it! Did it enhance my sex appeal? I really don’t know. But, the scents scored big points with the boys, so you can’t go wrong with that!
