Viseart Theory II Minx Palette Review

Question of the Week: What’s the most expensive cruelty free eye shadow palette you own, and is it worth it?

Please forgive my well-loved, not-pristine eyeshadow palette pic above! I have a lot of cruelty free makeup palettes, and one of my faves, the Viseart Theory II Minx palette ($45), is not necessarily more expensive, but there are far fewer shades than your standard Too Faced or Urban Decay palette. This one has six shades and the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette (as an example) has 16 shades for $49. I think there’s more shadow in each Viseart pan, which is nice, but really the formula is just so freaking bold, buttery and generally beautiful, that it’s worth every penny to me, regardless of size! It’s also a really good travel-sized palette. Honestly, the copper shade in the Minx palette is worth the price of admission alone to me!

The larger Viseart palettes are definitely more expensive than your standard palette from Sephora (they are $80 for twelve shades). As I’m writing this post, I’m thinking I need to treat myself and buy one…but I really need to calm down, because I gotta save money for my wedding this October!

The Lipstick League – week of 5.7.18

Please note that not all Lipstick League posts are cruelty free.

EauMG – I know I’m late, but I did manage to put together a Mother’s Day Gift Guide. Any of my gift basket ideas can also be recycled as birthday gift ideas.

My Beauty Bunny – has a review and swatches of all of the core Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed highlighters. Read this before you buy!

Painted Ladies – The Shayla x ColourPop Perception Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is perfection – say that three times fast! Sheila has swatches and a smokey eye look featuring this budget friendly best bet.

Phyrra – Check out my mermaid inspired Makeup Geek Power Pigments Tutorial!

Prime Beauty – Mangiacotti Beauty Essentials is a lovely brand and I’m so impressed with their mission to employ disabled adults with their bath and body products. Especially the Travel Essentials Gift Sets which are perfect for a Mother’s Day gift!

Realizing Beauty – The new Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is not only versatile it’s absolutely flipping GORGEOUS! Find out why I can’t get enough of it.

we heart this – A little birdie told us you may want to study these swatches of IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation for a special deal coming up soon…tweet tweet!

Beautygeeks – finally got into a new bottle of her favourite daily under-eye treatment – and has an extra bottle stashed away for when she finishes this one too! #stillobsessed

Blushing Noir – Every.Single.Shade of the Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation swatched + a review for oily, acne-prone skin.

(Wondering what the Lipstick League is? Find out here.)

EauMG is Currently Craving: I am obsessed with roses so you better believe I want these new Smashbox x Vlada Petal Metal Highlighters. The packaging is perfect!

I don’t have any eye shadow palettes, but this is great information. Thanks for the giveaway!
