Milani Texture Nail Lacquer Swatches

in Nails on 06/13/13

Article by Sierra Weltha, Staff Writer.

Milani Texture Nail Lacquer is a collection of six new polish shades with a sandy, textured element.

These are very fun and edgy—I love them!

The application of these is so simple. I only applied one coat of the Tainted Red and it looked fabulous. With the Purple Streak I applied two coats, but you can and should leave off the top coat, which serves as a great time saver!

The polish dries fairly quickly and with a matte finish. It creates a unique sparkle when under light, almost like a glittery nail polish.

As for the texture, I wasn’t sure if it would make it more difficult to apply the polish, but it actually made it easy for me to guide the brush since it created more of a resistance. It applied nice and evenly across my nails and didn’t awkwardly clump like I’ve had other polishes do.

The texture feeling reminded me of a sugar-coated candy.  I could not stop touching my nails! But the great thing was that since I loved touching the textured polish, it kept me from picking at the polish (a bad habit I usually do). So, for me, the texture helps make the polish last longer without being prematurely chipped.

The colors were vibrant! I have the Tainted Red, Purple Streak, and Yellow Mark. They were all great colors and very appropriate for summer. I’ve only tried the red and purple colors so far, but I’m excited to wear the perfect outfit for the yellow!

The nail polish was a little more difficult to remove due to the texture.  But once removed, no residue was left behind.

I would recommend these polishes to anyone who wants to add a splash to their style or have more of a unique and nontraditional nail coat. They were so fun. I kept making everyone feel my nails!

Have you tried using the two other colors? Hope you post them, too. The coral one looks pretty but I want to be sure. LOL.

    Hi Sierra,

These nails polish looks awesome. And I must say recently I started a blog on Nails. So I find this post helpful for my next post.

Can you please have a look and suggest me any changes?

    That would be very helpful.
