Dr. Mandel: Beauty Products Hair Care Line for Charity

in Hair on 06/05/12

Written by: Moxie, Staff Writer

Want to have great looking hair and support education? Dr. Mark Mandel, a Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon introduces Mandel Beauty Products with the launch of a hair care collection.

A little background. Dr. Mandel is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of numerous plastic surgical and academic societies and is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.

Dr. Mandel has authored and published over 70 scientific investigations; those include some of the first studies to link the immune system, the deleterious effects of smoking and drinking, and the development of cancer. He wrote one of the first books on plastic surgery for men, “Sculpture, A Man’s Guide to Plastic Surgery”.

Dr. Mandel doesn’t just provide his name to the new line of hair care products, he established F.A.C.E., Foundation for the Advancement of College Education. 100 percent of the profits from the products go the F.A.C.E. Scholarship fund, which helps to send needy students to college. More information on that can be found at facescholarship.org.

Natural ingredients in the Shampoo:

  • keratin
  • honey
  • coconut
  • olive oil
  • rice hull extract
  • wasabi extract
  • citrus extracts
  • antioxidants

The Invigorating Shampoo will repair and moisturize your hair. Free radical helpers and antioxidants serve to prevent your hair color from fading, and to strengthen and stabilize your hair.

Thoughts after using the Invigorating Shampoo: I loved that after using the shampoo, my hair was incredibly shiny; and although the shampoo is sulfate free, it was rich, and lathered up really well. The smell was great too: apple orchard.

Natural Ingredients in the Conditioner:

  • keratin
  • olive oil
  • honey
  • Bilberry oil
  • rice hull extract
  • wasabi extract
  • citrus extracts
  • vitamins B3 & E
  • antioxidants

Dr. Mandel’s Detangling & Smoothing Conditioner is formulated to help reduce hair color fading and hair static. The Conditioner will repair and nourish your hair.

Thoughts after using the Conditioner: Even though it was a rich creamy formula, the bottle was designed with a cap that made dispensing easy. The conditioner’s citrus fragrance was nice, and my hair was soft, smooth and shiny. I had no static!

I love that Dr. Mandel’s Beauty Products made my hair look great, and that the proceeds from the products (including the Serum, which I did not test) all support a scholarship fund to send needy students to college. As Dr. Mandel writes, “Education is the key to a beautiful future.”

What a great concept. Do you know if this range will be in Brazilian stores? If not I may have to go down the mail order route.
