LUSH Little Green Bag

LUSH loves making things in solid form. While, I’m keen on that idea too, I don’t know if I can get behind the solid shampoo. I wanted to love it, but it just wasn’t for me. The Squeaky Green shampoo bar is definitely eco-friendly (no plastic bottle to throw away), cost-effective (a single bar is equivalent to about three bottles of shampoo!), and great for travel and camping. I just didn’t love the feel of it. I guess I’m just too used to my liquid shampoo. Have any of you tried it? I would love to hear what you thought of it.

The Sexy Peel soap  (not pictured) is amaze-balls. It smells like citrus (lemons, oranges and limes) and it has actual peels which work to exfoliate skin. It lathered a tiny bit, but still cleansed very well.

Each Peach Massage Bar

The Each Peach massage bar is a great travel buddy. Romantic getaway? Bring one of these! You can rub it into the skin and it melts into a skin-nourishing body oil.

Lush Sugar Scrub

And, the solid Sugar Scrub is nice. It gives a great scrub (good for rough spots and feet), but I find it doesn’t last very long (maybe I’m using too much at once).

You can save either the scrub or the shampoo in the reusable tin, and the whole thing is packaged in a cute mini-scarf that you can use as a neck-tie, head-scarf or as I’m planning to do – a hand towel for the kitchen!

Oh how I love Lush… 🙂 That sugar scrub looks interesting!

I feel the same about the shampoo…!

I have also found that the facial scrubs don’t ‘stick’-they work great in-store on your hand, but then when you get home and try them on your face, gravity takes over and the product falls of your face-not great when you realize that expensive product is going down the drain and falling all over everything in the bathroom instead of your face.

I love LUSH, but find they are a bit pricey-maybe they have to be with the ingredients they use, being handmade, and adding the cost of shipping (they have distribution centers outside their area, but not many…). Ill purchase from them from time to time as a special treat, but tend to stick with lesser expensive brands.

I actually really like their solid shampoo! I still find the regular non-solid “big” to be more effective then its solid equivalent “seanik”, but I get some serious lather out of the solid shampoo, too.
I’ve tried a sample of the scrub bar, too, but am not a fan – it hurts when I rub it on my skin, it’s too rough. I prefer the combo of their Figs and Leaves soap on exfoliating gloves.
Intrigued by the sexy peel and massage bar, though!

I’ve been converted to solid shampoo (and conditioner), with my husban we love to go away on weekends, and it makes carrying it so much easier. I tried godiva first, loved the smell but was a bit heavy for my hair. Then New, which made my hair grow like crazy, and was good. Now my favourite is trichomania, specially paired with jungle conditioner. I’ve gotten lots of compliments on my hair since I started using them. I think I’m not going back to liquid! x
