Summer Scents for the Body
What better way to celebrate that summer has arrived with a tall, cool drink in hand…or possibly the limited edition bath and body virgin mojito set from The Body Shop. With so many hot days ahead of us, this collection is sure to cool you off with its crisp and cool scent. I am big fan of anything from The Body Shop so when the opportunity arose to check this out, my mouth watered and I instantly said yes!
The entire Body Shop Virgin Mojito collection is meant to moisturize and while keep you cool throughout the summer with it’s invigorating scent. I absolutely love the scent of lime, it’s juicy and tart and everything I crave during a hot day. It brings me back to my days as a kid where I would even squeeze lime into my coca-cola! Totally bad for your teeth….but oh so good! The mint is a less detectable in this blend but is definitely in there.
This limited edition set includes a shower gel, body scrub, body sorbet, body butter and last but not least a body splash.
Out of all the products sent to me the virgin mojito shower gel was my favorite. Once you’re in the shower and squeeze some into your shower poof the scent immediately fills the air with endless bubbles to cleanse the skin thoroughly with it’s soap-free formula. I followed with the virgin mojito body scrub which I found to be on the more gentle side of scrubs that I tend to use on my body. Perfect for more delicate areas such as the chest, but could use a little more grit for areas like the legs and elbows. The scent is mouth-watering to say the least, and truly feels like a summer bath treat for myself.
After stepping out of the shower and patting dry, I follow with moisturizer pretty much from head to toe. I use something else on my face, but you better believe I treated my legs to that awesome virgin mojito body butter that sinks in for super soft and scented skin. Talk about some serious shea butter at work here! I saved the virgin mojito body sorbet for less dry areas like my arms and torso since it has a lighter feel to it. The sorbet is best described as a frosty, light gel that absorbs completely without any stickiness left behind. The aloe in this formula hydrates without feeling heavy and would be perfect for less dry skin types.
I haven’t used a body splash in ages but seeing that I love the juicy scent of lime, I couldn’t resist throwing some on to carry the scent on for a bit longer. I would have preferred the splash to come in spray form instead of shaker/squirt bottle style but it still did the job of keeping my mouth watering after my luxurious shower. I may transfer some to a small spray bottle so I can “touch” up later in the day when the scent wears off.
All in all, I am in love with the LE Virgin Mojito Body set. It’s the perfect scent for summer and keeps my skin soft, moisturized and smelling great.
