Lather shea butter & hand therapy

My Beauty Bunny Press Sample

I have found the heaven for my skin care needs.

LATHER is what I’m talking about. No, it’s not the action of lathering, it’s the brand.

LATHER is a skin care brand that uses high quality, effective natural ingredients. The story of Emilie, the Owner of Lather, is enough to make me want to try the product without hesitation. Read her story about how she eased her severe migraines with a natural soap here, which got her interested in aromatherapy and skin care and ultimately creating LATHER.

Today I have two new products that were just released this September–perfect timing for the upcoming cold, dry season!

Lather shea butter

First product I have is the pure shea butter. We all know about shea butter and it’s many uses (prevention of stretch marks on pregnant women, relaxation of stiff and sore muscles, soothing of dry skin, ect.) Shea butter is always something good to have around in your medicine cabinet or on your bathroom counter! What makes LATHER’s shea butter an added bonus is that it is USDA certified organic. It is unrefined and “raw” so it provides the complete soothing and moisturizing properties that allow your skin to easily absorb and retain.

The pure shea butter comes in a 2 oz tin with a twist off cap. I’ll be honest, I didn’t really like the twist off tin cap. For some reason, there was a skill in my childhood I wasn’t taught, how to screw a tin cap onto a tin. It was easy for to remove the cap, it just took me some added seconds to get the cap back on—not a big deal, just wanted to let out my own personal frustrations, really. Ha

Anyway, once the cap is off, you wont really smell anything other than the scent of the natural ingredients because it’s scent-free! (something I always enjoy because my boyfriend’s nose is quite picky when it comes to smells) I liked applying the shea butter on my lips for soothing my chapped lips. I also liked applying it on my heels and using it to rub my boyfriend’s feet. It goes on nicely and definitely brings immediate moisture to the dry skin—I’ve never enjoyed touching feet so much, EVER.

The other new product I have is the hand therapy.

I fell in love with the hand therapy instantly. The hand therapy is a hand crème with ingredients such as shea butter, oat kernel and olive fatty acids. The shea butter, as mentioned before, is a great natural ingredient to help sooth and restore softness to skin. The oat kernel has been shown to reduce redness in stressed or irritated skin (think cracked knuckles in the wintertime.) The olive fatty acids helps reinforce the skin’s barrier and provides a protective shield from weather elements–all great components for keeping your skin hydrated and nourished.

The hand therapy comes in a 2.65 ounce squeeze bottle—just how I like it! It has a subtle natural scent of clary sage, cedarwood, fir, lavender and orange peel. It’s really a light, fresh fragrance that isn’t overbearing. I loved putting the hand therapy on my hands before leaving the house or going to bed, my hands start and end each day hydrated!

Since summer is over and cold, dry air is on its way, the smooth crème hand therapy and the silky pure shea butter are definitely going to be appreciated. I will not let these new LATHER products out of my sight!
