Laritzy Cruelty Free Beauty Box – September 2015

in Makeup, Nails, Skin, Vegan on 09/23/15

Cruelty Free Beauty Boxes

Hey ladies and gents!  I’m back with the September edition of Laritzy’s Cruelty Free Subscription Box and as usual, ready to share some awesome finds with you guys!  As some of you may know, I already reviewed the July and August boxes and loved many of the items I got to test, so it was an exciting surprise to have this month’s box show up in my mailbox.  For those of you not familiar with Laritzy, this monthly subscription service send you 4-5 full or luxury sized items that are guilt-free beauty indulgences because they are ALL cruelty-free!  So let’s move onto the fun stuff and see what I got this month!

Miss Violet Lace – Clean Slate Makeup Removing Oil

I know we’ve been told a dozen times over, but are you starting to believe that oil can actually clean the skin? Believe it! Whether you have dry or oily skin, cleansing oils can do wonders in removing makeup and keeping skin moisturized.  The brand behind this cleansing oil, Miss Violet Face, specializes in natural and vegan products to keep you feeling beautiful.  I love that this oil uses a trio of skin-loving components like sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil and jojoba oil and find that it does a good job of breaking down foundation before I go onto my next step of cleansing. The bottle says use 3-5 drops but I tend to use a few drops more per cleansing.  The full sized bottle is 1 oz and retails for $12 at their etsy shop.  IG: @missvioletlace

Praerie Botanicals – Seaweed Microexfoliating Facial Scrub

Since i’m in my second trimester of my pregnancy, my skin has been kinda of a wreck on and off. Some days I feel like I’ve got great looking skin, other days I feel it looks clogged and broken out. Needless to say, I was really excited to try this face scrub to keep my pores as unclogged as possible. It smells yummy like limes, is packed with marine-based nutrients like spirulina and sea kelp, and blended with sugar and skin-loving oils to give you soft, renewed skin.  I LOVED this face scrub. I only wish it arrived in a bigger jar (I got the full-sized 2 oz) for longer use. I have a feeling I will blast through this pretty quickly since I love it so much so I will TRY to use it sparingly to stretch it out. Just be sure to follow the directions with this one–it’s the first scrub I’ve used that says to leave on the face until it dries to rinse off!  A full sized jar retails for $20 and is worth every penny. I totally need to try more from this brand like their coconut charcoal soap and hibiscus toner. IG: @PraerieBotanicals

plant makeup highlighting powder review by my beauty bunny

Good4You Herbals – Highlighting Powder

Good4You has a line of toxin free, plant based makeup and has the most gorgeous site to feature them.  Just about everything from their Etsy shop makes me internally scream BUY! BUY! BUY! I was sent a luxury sized sample of their vegan highlighting powder that retails for $8.00.  The formula is truly a blend of healthy, good for you ingredients which got me excited, however I had difficulty getting this product to work for me.  I found the formula to be grainy, which they do fully admit –and say easily brushes away. However, I didn’t find that this powder highlighted or concealed as the description on the website.  my first bummer out of all the boxes I’ve tried so far. IG: @good4youherbals

Trust Fund Beauty – “I Had It First” Vegan Nail Polish

If you have not checked out this brand’s Instagram account, put that on your to do list now.  Fuuunnnyyyyyy!!!!  This 7-free, vegan nail polish brand has some attitude to it….and I love it.  I got a beautiful neutral shade “I Had It First” that looks clean and beautiful on. It’s a fairly thin, sheer color that builds with additional coats (this is two coats). I’m a sucker for all their pink shades (check out Bye, Felicia), so I may need to hit up this indie store and make a splurge on myself. Each full sized nail polish retails for $12. IG: @trustfundbeauty

Overall I’m very happy with the September edition from Laritzy, aside from the highlighting powder. I’ve been wanting to try Trust Fund for so long and I love being introduced to super healthy skincare options that make me feel like me and baby are safe.

Without a doubt, I am sure that many of you are dying to try this service, and to to entice you a bit more, Laritzy is offering all the bunnies here a discount code to try them out!  Just be sure to enter code: BUNNYTWUNNY to receive 20% off your monthly or annual subscription! If you’d like to find out more about LaRitzy, you should definitely visit their website and then be sure to follow them on their social media pages:  Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter!
