Skincare turns to haircare – J.F. Lazartigue Review
If you are looking for a new mask that won’t leave your hair limp, look no further than J.F Lazartigue’s Moisturizing Mask. Designed by renowned hair care specialist Jean-Francois Lazartigue to add moisture to dehydrated scalps and dry hair without making it feel heavy or greasy. After years of working as a stylist, his passion for improving the health of hair grew. By 1970’s, his salon was well known for being THE place to help address issues with over processed or damaged hair, later leading to the creation of his issue specific haircare lines.
J.F Lazartigue was one of the first haircare lines to incorporate the same ingredients found in some skincare such as collagen, vitamins and AHA’s to help turn your hair into its most fabulous version of itself. This moisturizing mask contains peptides, oligosaccharides and Quillaja Extracts to restructure their hair and help improve its own protection against further drying.
As someone who has long, fine colored hair that is heat-styled daily, I need to make sure I use conditioner and masks on the regular. I alternate days I use sprays, conditioners and masks so that it doesn’t become too heavy. There is nothing worse that having hair that feels like it is still coated with product even after its been washed which was a major plus with this mask.
This is a pre-shampoo mask that is done prior to hitting your shower so it can really do its magic before you suds down. I sprayed my hair down with water to get it slightly damp,coated it entirely from root to tip, and then combed through. I was just twenty minutes away from rinsing away to gorgeous hair, so in the meantime I hit the iPad and did some Facebooking.
I was pleasantly surprised with the results. For one, my hair felt silky when rinsed, and STILL silky after air drying. I couldn’t resist touching it and running my fingers through it!! The following morning when I curled my hair it still had the same holding power unlike those times you use a heavy mask and it makes curls fall limp after 5 minutes.
J.F Lazartigue formulates their products to be paraben-free, sodium-chloride free and are cruelty-free. This mask comes in a big tub so you can treat yourself to a generous portion when you do a weekly or bi-weekly treatment.
I’ve been a longtime fan of all J.F Lazartigue products and have tried almost everything in their line for the exception of the hair loss treatments and they have never failed to impress. I look forward to seeing what products they come up with in the future.
