How to Tie a Scarf

in Fashion, Misc, Vegan on 01/28/14

tying a scarf

Winter or summer – it doesn’t matter! A scarf can give instant pizazz to your style. You can make a boring outfit into your own fashion statement just by adding a scarf.

Loose End Style

First put your scarf around around your shoulders and make one end extend longer than the other. Wrap the longer side twice around your neck. Tuck this side into the wrap and pull the end of your scarf from the bottom. You can tie in a single knot for adjusting the scarf.

Classic Loop

Wrap the scarf around your neck once and let both ends hang freely.

Twist and Tie

The third one is the twist and tie to give you a sassy look with your outfit. To get this style, cross and wrap your scarf around your neck then tie the two ends, tie a knot, and tuck the two ends of scarf inside your jacket.

Slip Knot

The fourth one is a classic European style also known as the slip knot. This is very helpful for last minute touch-ups. To get this look fold your scarf so both ends are touching, then wrap it around your neck. Then, pull the loose ends into the loop, adjust it and fluff the scarf.

The Infinity Scarf

You can buy an infinity scarf (one large loop with no hanging ends), or you can just tie the ends of your scarf together. Loop it twice around your neck and hide the knot in the back.

There are a million other ways to tie a scarf. Check out this cute post from HowDoesShe.com for 50 ways to tie a scarf (I bet there are several you never thought of!). Got any cute ideas to share? Let me know in the comments.
