How to get rid of blackheads? Nothing can sabotage a beautiful complexion quite like the appearance of blackheads. Blackheads occur when your pores fill up with dead skin cells and dirt (ew!).  Some people are more prone to intrusive blackheads than others. Do you wish you could banish blackheads forever? There is no magic potion when it comes to making these pesky dirt-filled pores go “poof.” There are a number of beauty treatments that can provide relief. Are you ready to take control over your skin? Welcome to blackhead boot camp.

How to get rid of blackheads? Nothing can sabotage a beautiful complexion quite like the appearance of blackheads. Blackheads occur when your pores fill up with dead skin cells and dirt (ew!). Prevention
Prevention is essential when it comes to avoiding blackheads. Skin is a breeding ground for bacteria and sebaceous fluids. You should be vigilant about not rubbing your hands or fingers on your face so that you don’t spread environmental bacteria on your skin. Make sure to audit your makeup collection and facial creams every few months. Old makeup and creams are often swimming with bacteria and toxins that can cause irritation and clog pores. You can also reduce the likelihood of blackheads appearing on your nose by dropping the habit of applying foundation there.

Masks
Beauty masks can help diminish the appearance of blackheads by providing an intensive flushing of your pores. Wearing a mask for a prolonged period of time allows the ingredients to penetrate your pores instead of simply beading on the surface of your skin. Clay masks are especially beneficial because they soak up the excess moisture from your skin.

Cruelty Free Suggestions:

  • Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque
  • Indie Lee Clearing Mask
  • Shea Moisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Facial Mask

Don’t Use Heavy Creams
Don’t clog your pores with heavy moisturizers. Adding heavy creams, foundations and SPF can undo all the work you’ve put into exfoliating your skin. Instead, try a serum or light, oil-free moisturizer followed by a mineral powder foundation.

Cruelty Free Suggestions:

  • LUSH Grease Lightning Tea Tree Oil Gel
  • Murad T-Zone Pore Refining Serum
  • Colorescience Sunforgettable Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30

Scrubs
A gentle exfoliating scrub can be your best friend when it comes to making blackheads vanish. An exfoliating cleanser can clear away old skin and reveal fresh skin. You can also purchase gentle exfoliating pads to get the task done. Always remember to avoid harsh sponges or cloths that might tear your skin. Never exfoliate the tender skin beneath your eyes.

Cruelty Free Suggestions:

  • 100% Pure Brightening Scrub + Mask
  • DERMAdoctor Physical Chemistry
  • Dermalogica Blackhead Clearing Pore Control Scrub

Antibacterial Cleansers
The black substance you see inside your blackheads is full of bacteria. It is crucial to keep your skin clean so that the bacteria doesn’t spread to other areas of your face and increase the number of blackheads on your skin. A no-nonsense antibacterial cleanser should be introduced into your beauty routine every few weeks. The limited use of antibacterial cleansers is recommended since the overuse of these cleansers might unintentionally strip your skin of its own natural healthy oils – and lead to super-bugs. For a less-harsh antibacterial ingredient, try tea tree oil instead of triclosan.

Cruelty Free Suggestions:

  • 100% Pure Antibacterial Oil Blotting Paper
  • Michael Todd Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner
  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Cleanser

Banish Blackheads and Love Your Skin
A great complexion starts with a beauty routine that’s focused on barricading blackheads from forming. Your beauty routine needs to be smart if you want your skin to look fresh. The smart ideas listed above will help you use your brain in the battle against blackheads.

I use diluted apple cidar vinegar on trouble spots. Smells not so great, but worth it. I just do it at night.

I use a soft face brush to wash my face so I get some exfoliation every day, which has seemed to help keep some of my blackheads at bay.

Blackheads are embarrassing, best way to get rid of them is by using face scrub. Another simple, yet effective remedy would be egg white and a tissue paper applying over blackheads and then pealing the tissue paper when egg white dries up naturally.
