How to Get Holiday Curly Hairstyles

in Hair on 12/08/14

How many holiday parties are you going to this season? Maybe you’ve already gone to some of them and spent a fortune on hair and makeup. Well, I am BAD at doing my own hair – really. Not my think. But, I recently received the Infiniti Pro by Conair Secret Curl and the Infiniti Pro by Conair 3Q Styling Tool.

So, this is my very first time using these tools, and I don’t think I did too bad! First I added a little heat styling protector while I blow dried my hair with the Infiniti Pro by Conair 3Q blow dryer. I brushed it straight, but I also had the option to use the diffuser that came with the 3Q (probably would have been even curlier with the diffuser, but I wanted to try it straight first).

This is what it looked it like before – you can see I need a haircut! The ends don’t naturally curl like they should. They are a bit damaged and dry.

I heated up my new Infiniti Pro by Conair Secret Curl set. You just plug it in and you can tell when it’s ready when the light turns from red to white. There are 6 large and 6 small curlers. The smaller ones are for the front of your face. You take a small section of hair, hold it about an inch from the bottom, and then roll it up while rolling that extra inch around at the same time. It take a little getting used to (well it did for me because I don’t normally use curlers!). I found that there weren’t enough curlers to do my whole head. So I did one half at a time. It would be nice to have extra curlers so I could do my whole head while I was doing my makeup (to save time).

I found that I could really speed up the process by using the cool shot from the Conair 3Q dryer to cool down the curlers. The curls were really tight! Which is perfect because I knew I could keep them tight or make them into loose waves. Like I said, this was my first time, so when I did the second half of my hair, I did a lot better!

After doing my whole head, I used my DermOrganic hair spray all over, let it sit for a bit, and then loosed up the curls with my hands and a small brush. Keep in mind that curls will naturally loosen up over time, so if you’re going to an event, let them stay a little tighter than you would like at first and they’ll loosen up naturally

Here’s the after shot – I love the way it turned out! I’m sure with a little practice, I could make it even better. But, for a first-timer, I was more than satisfied!

Looks great Jen! And you have me super intrigued about the Conair Secret Curl set! My fine, limp hair could sure use it.
