Urban Decay Urban Lash Review

SAMPLEOne of the most exciting times of the year for me is when my favorite cruelty free beauty brands start coming out with their holiday collections. If you’re a beauty addict, I know you feel me on this. As a beauty editor, I often get to try the collections early, so I can photograph and test drive them for you. When Urban Decay sent me their holiday 2016 collection, I may have danced around my living room a little bit…

Instagram Facebook Los Angeles

So, last week Roxy and I got to go visit the Los Angeles offices for Facebook and Instagram. As social media marketing gurus and bloggers, this was like getting invited to Mecca! We took part in a beauty influencer interview (kind of like a private focus group) and then we got to use their trippy Alice in Wonderland-themed photo studio to create some Boomerangs and take photos (see em on my Instagram page). I knew I’d want to get my makeup and hair done beforehand, so I made an appointment with GlamSquad, and they sent Jennie and Olympia to make me picture perfect.

I usually have lash extensions, but my lashes are currently in need of a new set, so I decided to have Olympia put the new Urban Decay Urban Lash HBIC Babies on me. We were both impressed that these cute little partial lashes were of such high quality. Each piece has three custers of lashes and they are not all the same length (kind of graduated on the sides), so they look a lot more natural. Well okay – they’re BOLD – and not really meant to look natural, but they look much more pro than a single strip of lashes that are all the same length, if you get my drift. She put about six clusters on each eye. And wow – it totally made the look! All of Urban Decay’s Urban Lashes are cruelty free and hand-made with synthetic hair of course.

The entire Urban Lash line consists of 10 styles of full track lashes (Thunderbird, Tricked Out, Boheme, Noirheart, Airwaves, HBIC, Vape, Unreal, Zing and Entrapment) and two styles of cluster lashes (Xris Xross and HBIC Babies). Each set comes with a magnetic-closure, re-usable box with an iridescent backdrop (total Urban Decay style!). You can actually stack two sets of lashes in one box for each traveling. It also comes with latex-free, iridescent lash glue (dries clear). They retail for $15 each and will be available this month at UrbanDecay.com and Urban Decay stores.

Urban Decay is cruelty free, Leaping Bunny-certified and not sold in China. It is owned by a non-cruelty free parent company. See more on this topic here.
