Too Faced Peanut Butter and Honey PaletteToo Faced Peanut Butter and Honey Palette Review and Swatches

Too Faced and Jerrod Blandino’s team are the reigning kings and queens of cute. The new Too Faced Peanut Butter and Honey palette is adorable – kawaii even! And much like the chocolate and peach products, it smells amazing, but not overdone – like those scratch n sniff stickers I was obsessed with when I was a kid. And the packaging is adorable – a small tin covered with a yellow honeycomb – and topped with a smiling peanut butter & honey sandwich. But is it worth buying?

The shades are buttery and highly pigmented. I was able to swatch them on my fingertips with one swipe. I’m really into warm eyeshadow shades, so most of these are totally on my level. Peanut Butter is my favorite – a matte medium orange brown – VERY popular this season. Honey Brittle is a matte peach that I really like – and not an exact dupe from the Peach Palette (which is my holy grail palette!). Bee’s Knees is a pretty burnt orange with sparkle. Feelin Nutty is a gorgeous matte caramel color. Going Nuts is described as a bronzed mocha, which is a little dark for me so I prefer to use it as an eyeliner.

So that being said – the three lighter shades (Creamed Honey, Bee Sweet and Queen Bee) are just too pale for me. They are good as mixers, but don’t show up very well on my pale skin, so I couldn’t really use them as brow bone highlights. And, the yellow shade, “Honey Buns” is just not ever going to look good on me. I’ve seen some people on Instagram doing their “thang” with yellow and I respect that – but it’s definitely not a universal shade.

When you smudge the lighter shades out, they get more shimmery and creamy looking (and less chalky than they look on first dip!). Creamed Honey is more matte with a small bit of glitter. Bee Sweet is a matte light pink. And Queen Bee has the most sheen to it – the best one for highlighting.

So all in all, is it worth it? If you like warm, orange-toned shades, I would say yes. The lighter shades and the yellow aren’t going to be used much in my case, but the other five shades are really pretty and on-trend. Plus, it’s freaking adorable and smells so good!

The palette will be available on TooFaced.com and ULTA.com on 3/1 and in stores at ULTA on 3/19. I would love to hear what you think. Will you be picking this one up?

looks beautiful on your eyes! I like most of the colors.

I do love me a peanut butter and honey sandwich! My dad used to make them for us–a Southern treat!
