Too Faced Chocolate Bar

On a diet? No worries! You can get your chocolate fix from the new Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette! This is Too Faced’s answer to the Naked palettes by Urban Decay. I haven’t tried the Naked palettes, but I have to say – this may be my favorite palette ever.

It’s got 16 gorgeous shades – mainly earth tones/neutrals. There’s a mix of matte and shimmer, but all have amazing color payoff! The colors are actually infused with real antioxidant-packed cocoa powder, so they smell amazing. If I didn’t already have one, this would be on my wish list for Valentine’s Day – forget chocolate – give me makeup!

Too Faced is one of my favorite cruelty free brands. They have great products, great packaging, and so far, have stayed OUT of mainland China (so no 3rd party government animal testing)! This palette is truly one of their best. Definitely a great buy!

I just had to add my 2 cents here. A lot of the colors in this palette are actually not neutral. Most of them are QUITE warm, so much so that, as much as I really wanted to love this palette, I will not be getting it, for myself because it is just WAY too warm, for me. 🙁

I bought this palette last weekend with some birthday money and I have to say it was one of my best purchases ever; I wore it every day this week! The colors are so pretty and saturated and buttery and it smells like chocolate. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this palette and so much to love! I am sooooo glad I got it!

Hmmm…to be fair to Too Faced here…I keep hearing this and it seems odd to me. I mean…it is sort of assumed by the name and the theme (and the packaging even) that they would be quite “chocolatey” colors, and chocolate by nature does lend itself to warmer tones. Nor does Too Faced claim this pallet to be a “neutral palette.” They describe it on their site as “16 matte and shimmer shades of natural browns, delicate pinks and luscious plums.” I think it is more the comparisons people online are making to neutral palettes that seem to be giving this impression, not really anything about what the product was intended to be by the manufacturer. My 2 cents. However…I am bummed for you because it really is a nice product if does suit you, and it smells so wonderful!! I wish it was a perfect match for everyone just for that fact!
