Exfoliating Pumpkin Skin Care by June Jacobs

Exfoliating Pumpkin Skin Care by June Jacobs

What’s better than a pumpkin spice latte or a slice of pumpkin pie? Well (arguably I suppose) it’s pumpkin skin care for glowing skin! I love a good exfoliating scrub or mask, so I was excited to try out the pumpkin enzyme products from cruelty free skin care brand, June Jacobs.

The Perfect Pumpkin Peeling Enzyme Masque is made with 15% pumpkin extract, which alone is great for your skin. Pumpkin enzymes can remove dead skin that clogs pores and dry skin patches. It has antioxidants (Vitamins A, C and E), zinc and beta carotene. The formula also contains retinyl palmitate (a form of Vitamin A that helps to exfoliate and smooth skin), hyaluronic acid (to add moisture without clogging pores), red tea and green tea (antioxidants), goji berry, pomegranate and grapeseed extract. The masque didn’t irritate my sensitive skin, and my skin felt super smooth and hydrated afterward. Whether you have dry, oily, mature skin or anything in-between, this is a great exfoliating mask that actually improves skin tone, texture and spots (as opposed to just moisturizing or drying it out like some moisture and mud masks do).

The Perfect Pumpkin Enzyme Polish combines a physical exfoliant (jojoba spheres and bamboo microbeads) with a natural chemical exfoliant (pumpkin enzymes). The formula also has added antioxidants, exfoliants, and humectants: goji berry, retinyl palmitate (Vit A), red and green tea, pomegranate and grapeseed extract. The result is an effective scrub that gets rid of dead skin without irritation. I use this scrub after cleansing 2-3 times a week to keep that pumpkin glow!

Let me also just say that both of these products smell amazing – like pumpkin pie without the calories! You can find them online at JuneJacobs.com or at skin care retailers like DermStore.com.

Don’t shoot me but I’m not a pumpkin fan – well with all the food actually. I know it’s great for your skin though and I used to give my dog pumpkin for his dry coat and it really helped. This does sound good for your face.

It’s pumpkin season, so why not pumpkin face. It’s totally logical given the nutrients in the squash.
