The battle for great skin and good makeup is one we all know too well, but good skin goes beyond just using good products. “Diet effects our skin more than people may think,” says creator and founder of Emani Cosmetics, Michelle Doan. “Don’t be seduced by an ad campaign,” she says. “You need to know what you’re putting on your skin.”
All of Emani’s products are cruelty free, vegan friendly and PETA certified. Emani is also committed to continuously incorporating green technologies into their line, down to their biodegradable and recyclable packaging.
“Beauty performance and women’s health are Emani’s philosophies and goals when creating products,” says Doan. “Every single ingredient we put into our cosmetics are highly evaluated, keeping our integrity,” she says.

The Organic Lip Shine in ‘Blush’
I’m normally not a fan of lipgloss and haven’t used it in years, but this lip shine made me a believer. It gives just a hint of color and just enough shine but not stickiness to brighten your face. It has vitamin E and it made with organic fruit as well as natural oils to moisturize lips.
The Hydrating Lip Color in ‘Promiscuous’
I’ve worn a lot of red lipsticks and Emani’s is in my top three. It’s weightless, delivers strong pigments and is above all, long-lasting. A perfect day red!

What’s great about this product is that you can use it as a blush and create a natural, contour look or use it all over your face to create a summer glow.
“[Emani] wants to create beauty and skin intelligence,” says Doan. She encourages consumers to look at the ingredients in their beauty products and see what they’ve putting on their skin. You might be surprised.
