elave gel cleanser review

Irish company, Ovelle Pharmaceuticals, the makers of Elave skincare has been around since 1934. Their specialty is sensitive skin (that’s me! ::raises hand::). This is especially important for those of us with extra sensitive, dry skin and those of us prone to eczema, dermatitis, rosacea and psoriasis. The body and especially the face can be extra sensitive to harsh foaming agents, preservatives and perfumes. Elave’s multi-action formula hydrates, softens and calms the skin.

Elave skin balancing facial cleansing gel contains a unique blend of naturally derived foaming cleansers with pure active antibacterial Manuka Honey (great for acneic skin) for a deep cleansing treatment to remove daily residue, oil, make-up and impurities. A multi action formula with natural amino acid humectants Sodium PCA and plant derived Glycerin to hydrate and soften skin. Vitamin E and calming Chamomile Extract help shield skin from environmental stress.

I love that this cleanser works without stripping the skin and it has NO OIL. Not only do I have sensitive, acneic skin, I also have eyelash extensions, which means I can’t use products with oils. This is perfect – a gentle product to keep my skin soft and acne-free. Highly recommended!

    Hi
Is this more than just a moisturiser ie a make up remover as well. I have flare ups of acne and have tried a few products with varying amounts of successs. Always looking for something better that works for my skin as it is quite sensational to some remedies.

I’ve heard of Elave before but never tried it. After reading it contains Manuka Honey, now I am really intrigued. I can feel your excitement of this product. Such a good review. Thanks Jen.

This might be exactly what I need with my psoriasis problems. It really is hard to find something to battle that issue without drying out my skin further. Hoping this one works as advertised, I will be thrilled!

For me any product containg Manuka Honey is worth trying. I even cover small cuts with it and each and every time it works a treat.

I have acne prone skin. A product with no oil is definitely what I need.

I agree with Emma Jack. I also benefit from manuka honey. If you don’t try it , you should give a try too.

The chamomile sounds good. Considering how much I like chamomile, it’s interesting that I haven’t gone on a hunt for more products that contain it. I am not big on face washes but the fact that it is gentle would probably tempt me.
