How to Get Younger Looking Eyes

in Combination Skin, Dry Skin on 05/11/10

Hey there, Bright Eyes!

eye cream reviews

We all want to get rid of puffiness, dark circles, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation (dark spots) from around our eyes. Here are some cruelty free eye creams that I have tested and loved.

Dermalogica Total Eye Care

Dermalogica Total Eye Care is lightly tinted and has natural UVA/UVB blocker (SPF 15) – which makes it perfect for daytime use. Optical light diffusers reduces the look of undereye circles and makes you look more awake. It’s not just a cover though – it also has an alpha hydroxy – lactic acid – to reduce fine lines and renew skin, and spiraea extract to reduce water retention and help get rid of puffiness. I received some samples of this product when I got my Dermalogica facial and I love it so much, I think I’ll buy a tube.

DERMAdoctor Wrinkle Revenge Rescue & Protect Eye Balm

DERMAdoctor has some really good stuff. Their Rescue & Protect Eye Balm is full of ingredients to de-puff, reduce wrinkles, reduce skin damage, and get rid of undereye circles. It contains potent antioxidants (such as white tea, pomegranate, grape seed extract and CoQ10), amino acid peptides, caffeine (reduces bags under the eyes), and hesperidin (to reduce dark circles).  You can use this morning and night. It’s thick, but not greasy and wears well under makeup.

Elizabeth Grant The Socializer – Bright Lights & Late Nights

The Socializer is the single gal’s weapon against those “too much partying eyes.” We’ve all been there – going for a drink on a Thursday night but have to be at the office at 8 am? This is a cute duo – you use one at night before bed and the other in the morning. You apply the Late Nights pen (just click it a few times and brush on) right before bed. It has a type of algae to improve your skin’s elasticity and allantoin and chamomile to soothe skin. The Bright Lights (AM version) has the same good stuff in addition to brightening agents to make you look bright eyed and bushy tailed the next morning.

Press samples were provided for the purpose of review. Opinions are the author’s own.
