Today I’m reviewing some super fun, unicorn-y goodies from Eddie Funkhouser! Eddie Funkhouser has a full range of cruelty free cosmetics, ranging from basics like foundation and mascara to trendy products like holographic eye gloss. I was excited to have the opportunity to play with some of his favorites and use them for this look and review.
(Left to right – Lavender Sky, Dreamcatcher, Femme Fatale)
These are nice eyeshadow singles! Lavender Sky is a very light pastel purple and I used it for my lid color in this look. Dreamcatcher is a pretty pastel pink. Femme Fatale is a dark charcoal grey. If you like to do a soft and smokey eyeliner look, Femme Fatale would be great for that.
(Top to bottom – Catchlight and Spellbound in direct sunlight)
(Left to right – Spellbound and Catchlight in the shade)
These loose pigments are technically designed for creating eye looks, but when I saw how blindingly iridescent they are, I couldn’t resist popping Spellbound as a highlight! I am wearing it on my cheekbones, tip of my nose, inner eye corners, and under my brows. Spellbound has a stunning pink shift and Catchlight has a beautiful gold shift. Both of them are so pretty.
(Left to right – Twilight, Afterglow)
I was SO excited to try these out! I’d been wanting to shoot a glossy eye look for quite a while. Twilight has a pearly blue sheen and Afterglow has a light golden pink tint. They double as lip glosses, so I ended up just wearing Afterglow over my pink lipstick in this shoot because applying them to my eyes proved to be a tad tricky. The doe foot applicator picks up a bit of any product you already have on when you apply the gloss, and I really did not want to disturb my purple eyeshadow. However, I have found that the Eye Gloss looks really pretty worn on naked lids with a bit of mascara if you are going for a glowy, natural look! This product is very similar to lip gloss so, whether placed on lids or lips, this too will eventually soak into your skin and mostly fade away.
Overall I am really enjoying these Eddie Funkhouser products! They are very budget-friendly, fun, and on-trend.
Thanks for the review Emily! I love how you used the products. You really made them your own! Tips: 1. You can also mix the Chromographic Eye Gloss with your Hyperreal Eye Color or Hyperreal Pigment Powder to create a moisturizing cream shadow! 2. Mix your Hyperreal Pigment Powder into any lip gloss for an iridescent glow effect that won’t fade away. XOXOEddie
Thank you for the tips Eddie! <3
