Thursdays with Cheeky Rox: How to Contour with the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Contour Palette
Contouring is BIG in the makeup world right now. Why wouldn’t it be? Contouring adds definition and enhances the best features on your face. That’s why I love contouring! With a good contour, I’m able to subtly re-shape my face and highlight all of my best features. I usually contour for any makeup look I’m creating – whether I’m doing an everyday look or full-out glam. The Contour Palette from cruelty free makeup brand, Youngblood Cosmetics, is one of my all-time favorite palettes to use!
In the Youngblood Contour Palette, you’ll find six powders – three highlights and three contour shades. Each of the highlight and contour shades range from light to medium so you’ll definitely find a shade to match your skin tone. This is amazing for professional makeup artists to carry in their kit or just for the average makeup lover like myself 🙂 The powders are finely-milled and very easy to blend which makes contouring a breeze. When I use the Youngblood Contour Palette, I’m always so happy with the finished look because the powders give a very natural but defined finish.
There are a few basic steps to contouring:
- Apply contour shade underneath cheekbones and along the sides of the nose to add definition.
- Blend out with a slightly darker, warm toned shade to balance and bronze the face.
- Apply highlight shade under eyes, down bridge of nose, and under contoured cheekbones.
