Christmas Mani

christmas mani

My Christmas mani! I used Nicole by OPI in Iceberg Lotus and I Love You Cherry Much.

UPDATE (12/19/12) – I just found out that PETA has quietly removed OPI from their cruelty free list. I really wish they would give me a heads-up on these things! My guess is that OPI is being sold in China, but I don’t know for sure. I’ll update you when I find out more.

OPI? Aren’t they owned by Coty? Are you just using up something you already have?

Is OPI cruelty-free? I e-mailed them for a statement and couldn’t get a response out of them. 🙁 I really love their colors but don’t want to buy unless I know for sure!

Lynn – they are owned by Coty but maintain their cruelty free standards. See the “Cruelty Free Lists” page for details.

But unfortunately, Coty owns them now and your money will eventually go to them. I am just a quietly not going to buy any more OPI until things change. It’s sad, but there it goes. I am try to find out if Farouk systems is still cruelty free or they gone the China way also. And yes, I also noticed that this week they were off the list.
