My Cabella Hair Treatment at Slash Salon

in Hair, Misc on 01/20/13

My friend, Carla, of SLASH Salon wanted me to try the new line of products by Cabella. I went in for an oil treatment and walked out with several goodies to try out. First thing I have to say – the products smell SO GOOD!

The name Cabella means “California beauty” – CA + bella (beauty in Spanish). The products are made with skincare technology.

The moisturizing Gentle Shampoo is made with Vitamin B5, honey, melanin, wasabi (!), reishi mushroom, brazil nut protein, quinoa protein and B complex. The Detox Shampoo uses phytic acid to remove chlorine, product buildup and pollution (but it won’t remove your color).

The Rejuvenating Masque can be used a few times a week in the shower to really moisturize. The Leave-In Conditioner feels like a moisturizer you’d use for your face. It’s not a spray – but a lotion. You just need a little bit of all these products. Don’t overdo it or you’ll get greasy hair!

The Star Oil is the hero product. It smells amazing and a little bit goes a long way. You can use it on dry or wet hair – or you can use it throughout the hair as a pre-shampoo treatment. The key ingredients are: shea butter, mongogo oil, acai oil, buriti oil, kukui oil, kendi oil, olive oil, monoi oil, jojoba oil and B complex. This oil combo is similar to our own skin’s oil, so you can even use this on your skin.

Good stuff – and cruelty free! So definitely check it out!

You can follow Cabella on Twitter and Facebook.
