Burts Bees Cleansing Oil

SAMPLE

Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil

You always hear that you shouldn’t be afraid to use cleansing oils on your face – even if you have combination or oily skin. I know, you’re thinking, “Jen, I love ya, but I ain’t putting oil on my face!” Well, this might surprise you – but some cleansing oils can help normalize your skin’s oil production, so it actually produces LESS oil. Yep, it’s true. Burt’s Bees makes a perfect one to try – it’s made with all natural ingredients and it’s great for all skin types.

I have noticed that some cleansing oils are less likely to leave a residue after rinsing, which makes them far better for me and my combo skin! I recently received a sample of Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil, and I was very impressed. It has a light, fresh scent, removes all the makeup that doesn’t come off with regular cleansers, and it rinses clean! My skin is left feeling soft, but not oily and not tight.

This cleanser is made with coconut and argan oils, which explains why it doesn’t leave behind an oily residue. Coconut and argan are obviously perfect for dry skin (because – oil!), but they’re also great for oily and acneic skin. They have been known to help reduce acne and balance oil production. They are full of vitamins and minerals, and they won’t clog your pores. The cleanser is also made with crambe abyssinica seed oil, which is full of skin-nourishing Omega-9 fatty acids.

Some of you may be familiar with the concept of using a cleansing oil as a pre-cleanse. You apply to dry skin to remove makeup, dirt and oils (like dissolves like!), massage into the skin, and then rinse. After that, you follow up with your regular cleanser. You CAN do that, but I found that I didn’t need a second cleanser with this one. One good cleanse removed makeup, dirt and everything else – and no oily residue.

The Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil is vegan and cruelty free. It’s 100% natural, and dermatologist-tested. I love finding products like this one that deliver what they promise, are animal-friendly, are reasonably priced, and are easy to find in drugstore and other mass retailers. What do you think – will you give it a try? Let me know in the comments below!

I love cleansing oils for oily skin (and other oils too)! I find that my skin is actually less oily when using these types of products. I haven’t tried this Burt’s Bees version though, I think I’ll need to try it out when I run out of my current The Body Shop Chamomile Cleansing Oil

I have always used pure coconut oil for cleansing. It has never failed me and has kept my skin healthy (touchwood !) Am sure this cleansing oil is wonderful and I would love to give it a try.

I received a sample in a beauty box and immediately tossed it into the “not for me” box. I have an oily T-Zone and you’re right, “why would I put oil onto my oily skin” was my thought exactly! I recently dug it out of that box and have used it a few times. I am pleasantly surprised with it. It took my makeup off better than the wipes I’ve been using for years, rinsed off my skin and did not leave a residue! This morning, my T-zone was not as oily as normal 🙂 I’ll be using this sample till the end! Great review and information. Tal xo
