British cruelty free skincare company, Bulldog Natural Skincare, is a men’s skincare line that boasts getting the job done, being hassle free, and not taking themselves so seriously. They’re one of the few men’s skincare lines that flaunts their ingredients and takes pride in their formulas.
Bulldog Natural Skincare also takes great pride in being cruelty free, vegetarian-friendly, and environmentally aware. In fact, they are approved by BUAV, the Vegetarian Society and the RSPCA. I met the owner, Simon, at the Natural Products Expo and he was super nice and seemed to really care about animals. Now that’s a men’s grooming brand I want to support!
Original Shave Gel
Product: A shave gel packed with essential oils and natural ingredients for a smooth shave.
Ingredients: aloe vera, jojoba oil, mannan, bergamot oil, lemon oil, armoise oil, geranium oil, patchouli oil, lime oil, tree moss oil, vetivert oil, and limonene
Gregg’s Thoughts: This is great! Its got a nice natural subdued scent which I really like. It doesn’t lather quite as much as I’m used to but I actually like that as I felt I get a cleaner, closer more accurate shave.
Original After Shave Balm
Product: An after shave gel with tons of natural ingredients to help nourish and soothe the skin.
Ingredients: sweetbriar/ rosehip seed oil, Vitamin E acetate, mannan, green tea leaf extract, bergamot oil, lemon oil, armoise oil, geranium oil, patchouli oil, lime oil, tree moss oil, and vetivert oil.
Gregg’s Thoughts: I really like the scent of this aftershave as it smells a bit like some of my girlfriend’s favorite candles. I’ve been fighting a battle with razor bumps for a while now and I think this after shave coupled with the shave gel is helping de-bump my bumps. This may sound infomercial-like, but after using this balm I get a very refreshed feeling. This balm is the bomb!
Original Moisturiser (yeah that’s right – “moisturiser” – they’re a British company!)
Product: Morning and night rehydrating moisturiser for the face and neck that’s packed with essential oils and natural ingredients.
Ingredients: bergamot oil, lemon oil, lime oil, geranium oil, armoise oil, tree moss oil, patchouli oil, vetivert oil, green tea leaf extract, chlorella vulgaris extract, hydrolyzed algin, vitamin E acetate, mannan, sea water.
Jen’s Thoughts: Holy crap – this smells good! I stole this from Gregg because it’s got a clean, earthy scent that I love. It’s a tiny bit heavy for everyday use (for me), but fine for those with thicker skin (i.e. dudes) or those with mature skin. It’s not at all greasy and dries to a matte finish, so women can use it too (under makeup).
Original Face Wash
Product: Gentle face wash with essential oils and natural ingredients to cleanse your face of everyday dirt and debris.
Ingredients: bergamot oil, lemon oil, armoise oil, geranium oil, patchouli oil, lime oil, tree moss oil, vetivert oil, and limonene.
Jen’s Thoughts: Smells great and cleans without leaving residue. Works for you or your guy.
Original Face Scrub
Product: Gentle exfoliating scrub with natural ingredients, pumice, and coconut shell to exfoliate.
Ingredients: pumice, shea butter, coconut shell powder, borage seed oil, sweetbriar/ rosehip seed oil, green tea leaf extract, bergamot oil, lemon oil, armoise oil, geranium oil, patchouli oil, lime oil, tree moss oil, vetivert oil, and limonene.
Jen’s Thoughts: Like the moisturiser and face wash, this scrub smells amazing. It’s pretty rough (it’s made for tough guys after all), so go easy with it – no need to scrub your face off – just rub gently and your skin will be LIKE A BABY’S. I promise.
men might confuse the name with using the products on actual dogs….uggh
I have purchased the moisturiser and the face wash, as I didn’t realise it was for men. So,can I use them too? PS: Ihave a sensitive skin.
