I love bareMinerals, but when I’m in a hurry, I don’t want to mess with loose powders or pigments. So, I’m very excited about their READY line of “solid mineral technology” eyeshadows, blushes and bronzers. They are just like pressed cosmetics, but they are actually created in a way that preserves the skin benefits of the sea minerals (that you would normally lose in the pressing process). There are no parabens, binders, fillers or harsh chemicals.

bareminerals blush

The blush ($22) comes in 10 shades and includes cold-pressed camellia oil to nourish skin. The colors go on easy, are buildable and very wearable. (Shown above L-R: The Indecent Proposal, The Faux Pas, The One)

bareminerals bronzer

The long-wearing bronzer ($24) comes in 3 shades (The Skinny Dip, The High Dive and The Deep End) and contains cold pressed carrot oil to firm the skin. The Skinny Dip (lightest shade) is a great find for pale peeps like me. It’s so light – I actually have to add more than I’m used to adding. Usually I have to go over bronzers with powder because they’re too dark for me, but this is perfect. I use it for an all over bronze look (apples of cheeks, nose, chin and temples) or as a contour to make my face look thinner (hollows of cheeks, temples, jawline and underneath my chin).

These will be available March 2012 at bareescentuals.com and retailers nationwide.

I can't wait to try this 'Skinny Dip' shade! I'm very fair and am always trying to tone down my bronzer application with powder as well.

I love BE, I have a few eyeshadows, but are sometimes a bit too shimmery. I haven't tried their pressed products yet though.

bare is wonderful. I just dropped my blush in my cup of coffee the other day so I need to pick up something new and I think I am going to go with bareminerals.

Based on your review here and making me aware that BE was cruelty-free, I got my shade matched at a store, then happened to see a special on QVC for their Return to Radiance package and bought it–I’ve never purchased anything on QVC before! I was ready to switch makeup lines so it was perfect timing. However, the brushes that come with the kit are goat hair, according to the pitch on TV– nothing in the package product label states it–so I won’t be using them. I ordered Aveda’s Uruku brush instead which is completely synthetic. Just an FYI to anyone else who got this item and also to let you know about this great brush!
