Artisan Naturals – Zinc for Acne

in Acne-prone, Combination Skin, Men, Oily Skin, Vegan on 04/25/11

artisan naturals zinc & aloe serumI have battled breakouts for most of my life, and although I’ve never found a magic bullet to completely cure my hormonal acne, I’ve found zinc to be very helpful for killing bacteria and keeping zits to a minimum. I have been taking zinc supplements a week before my period (and sometimes during), and that has helped a lot.

I recently tried a topical acne serum with zinc from Artisan Naturals. Their Zinc & Aloe Anti-Acne Clarifying Treatment Serum is cruelty-free, relatively inexpensive and I have seen a reduction in number of breakouts each month. I love that it controls acne WITHOUT drying out my skin. Those harsh treatments just make my skin irritated and dry and I’ve heard they can actually increase breakouts. This serum is gentle enough to use twice a day – after cleansing and before applying moisturizer.

Key Ingredients:

  • Zinc: heals and controls bacteria
  • Alpha Hydroxy Acids: 4% gently exfoliate
  • Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) :helps heal and protect from scarring
  • Tea Tree oil : helps to wipe out acne-causing dirt and bacteria
  • Aloe Vera: soothes redness and inflammation
  • Cinnamon Bark Extract:  controls acne causing bacteria

I also really like their other acne products. Their Green Tea Clarifying Cleanser w/AHA – this is a cleanser for combination to oily skin, but I’d recommend it for those on the oilier side. It has alpha hydroxy acids to exfoliate, green tea for antioxidant power and white willowbark to soothe and exfoliate.

Key Ingredients:

  • AHA’s: Natural fruit acids gently exfoliate and speed up cell turnover.
  • Green Tea Extract: Soothing and Anti- oxidant properties
  • Willowbark Extract: Natural form of Salicylic Acid, aids in cell proliferation.
  • Larch Tree Extract: A natural Alpha Hydroxy Acid, aids in cell proliferation.

The Willowbark Anti-Acne Clarifying Toner is non-drying and doesn’t sting or otherwise freak out your skin like a lot of those teenage acne products. It has cinnamon bark and willowbark extracts to soothe skin, kill bacteria, and increase cell turnover/exfoliate.

The French Green Clay Clarifying Mask is also a product I recommend. The pure essential oils give it a nice, relaxing, vacation-esque scent while the clay, green tea and callophyllum inophyllum (foraha oil) soothe, kill bacteria and exfoliate.

The current Artisan Naturals promo running is their Spring Fling Sale. You can get 15% off your ENTIRE order with code SP2011.

Clarify it with the expert and nevertheless gather some info's about it then more probably you can do something on it. You'll see how effective it will be and it will be more easy to handle things out. Acne can be worst once you take it for granted.

This is very interesting. I think there are so many great natural products that are of high quality that you never hear about. I know that a lot of it is regulated but everyday I seem to find more and more wholesale cosmetics & natural soap suppliers & just great products for everything.
