Aquatherapy Mud Mask Review by Jonathan Agam.
I’m not someone who usually uses mud masks but I had such great end results from trying other Aquatherapy products, so I had to give it a try! I especially wanted to try this product because I saw that Khloe Kardashion posted a pic modeling a mud mask on her Instagram! LOL
The Aquatherapy Dead Sea Facial Mud Mask is oil-free, hypoallergenic and of course, cruelty free. It was very easy to apply. I thought it would be tough because it’s made from mud, but it was smooth and thick. I started from the top of my face and headed toward bottom, and literally covered my whole face and neck area. It was subtle at first but began to tingle after a few minutes. It wasn’t like “oh my gosh I’m going to die burn” but more of a “hmmm my face feels tingly” type of burn. When applying the mud mask, you can see the Dead Sea Salt bits in it.
I left it on for 10 minutes as instructed and by the end of the 10 minutes, it had hardened up quite a bit. When I used this mask, I used it before the shower so I just washed it away while in the shower.
My one negative comment I have to say (which really is just with mud masks in general) is just to be careful! When it begins to dry, little drops of mud will fall from your face. Also, my shower floor was super dirty afterwards. It didn’t just wash away from my face into the drain but it stayed on my shower floor. I had to get a wet towel and scrub it away – it literally went away after one or two scrubs, nothing too bad. Just keep that in mind! Don’t get too ‘mud’ over it!
After looking in the mirror, I definitely saw a difference in my skin! My face and neck area looked a lot lighter! Which is perfect for selfies! Yes, I am that type of person. It got rid of all my dead skin and made my face more uniform in color. I’m always super red so it’s a miracle when my forehead matches my cheeks! Overall, I liked this product because I felt like I was in a fancy shcmancy spa. If you’re looking for something to get rid of dead skin, reduce acne and tighten, definitely check this product out!
